The rest of New York may be showing their Resort collections, but Tamara Mellon is sticking to her buy-now-wear-now guns. Mellon's Fall deliveries were on view in her showroom this week. She preaches versatility and practicality, and she believes in making fashion useful for women, but she likes to have her fun. As has become the custom at this burgeoning brand, the vibe was take-no-prisoners. Lots of glittery lamé, even more fox fur and leopard print, and plenty of black leather, some of it trussed up with punky grommets.

Her much-talked-about hybrid legging boots are now on offer in white, and among the other novelties in the footwear department were knee-high and thigh-high suede boots laser-cut to resemble fishnet stockings. It's no surprise the accessories are getting a lot of attention—Mellon is the founder of Jimmy Choo, after all. As for the ready-to-wear, there was nothing that had the irresistible pull of the fringed suede skirt she did for Spring. What came closest was probably the fitted black leather flight suit.
