The Ibiza connection seemed a little tenuous, however, given the show's high grunge factor. Plaid shirts were knotted round waists, blousons and a sweatshirt looked suitably frayed, baggy shorts were attached over jeans in a doubled-up trompe effect, waistbands drooped to bumster level to reveal Liberty-print boxers. Several shirts came in the same kind of florals, others were shot with gold thread, yielding a flash of glam grunge. The footwear, on the other hand, looked like a concession to a more easygoing summer vibe: flip-flops would never have made it in a Seattle mosh pit.
