You never know what you're going to get at Ports. For Spring, Fiona Cibani went architectural. The silhouette was linear, the embellishments geometric. Neon, color-blocked platforms, corded belts, and bags—an accordion satchel in bright coral and orange was great—provided the heat in a palette that was mostly cool. A gussied-up sweater dress in a dove and peach jacquard knit had a pleated silk column draped down one shoulder that injected some fluidity into all the angularity. Fractured glass fragments provided evening's embellishments. The closing dress was a sheer silk shift with a strategically placed shiny mosaic. Much was repeated over the course of the show's 43 looks, and a tighter edit would have made for a stronger message.
