Valentino Garavani always draws a high-profile crowd, and last Thursday was no exception. To celebrate the release of his new scent, V, the Italian designer threw a Brazilian carnival-style dinner party at New York's Four Seasons restaurant. In keeping with the evening's theme, the fragrance's campaign star, model Eugenia Volodina, swanned about in an elaborate couture confection—"it's so comfortable," she gushed. Most guests opted to don the red feather masks handed out at the door.

At his corner table, Valentino sat donlike (he nodded and gave kisses when asked if he was enjoying himself), while guests ranging from actresses (Lindsay Lohan, Nicollette Sheridan) to designers (Diane von Furstenberg, Zac Posen, Rachel Roy, Natalie Chanin) to socials (Ahn Duong, Tinsley Mortimer, Jennifer Creel) came to pay their respects. "It's such a great party," said Lohan. "I worship everyone here. And, I mean, I love Valentino. I wore him to the Mean Girls premiere."

Nearby, a dancing Damon Dash worked the room. Flaunting a hefty watch from his Tiret company that looked like a pile of crushed ice, he repeated, "You gotta get one of these." Even brighter than Dash's timepiece was the flurry of flashbulbs triggered by Pamela Anderson's late-night appearance. As the Stacked star posed for pictures with fellow flaxen vixens Lohan and Sheridan, Fabiola Beracasa commented, "Now that's what I call blond ambition."
