Paris couture week got off to a glittering start with two parties celebrating jewelry lines—one storied and one emerging. To mark its 150-year anniversary, Boucheron pulled out all the stops with a preview of its one-of-a-kind "Collections Particulières, Paris" pieces, followed by a dinner for 150 guests at the Petit Palais. A select handful—Naomi Campbell and Michelle Yeoh included—were covered in Boucheron baubles for the occasion. Julianne Moore flashed the "Troubled Desire" suite from the house's most recent collection. "It's nice when things are pretty, but it's even nicer when they have a story," said the actress. "These pieces are romantic, but somewhat elusive and dark. See, they even have thistles." As The Diving Bell and the Butterfly's Emmanuelle Seigner cooed a breathy rendition of Happy Birthday, Boucheron, Diane Kruger and her date Joshua Jackson sneaked out, en route to the grand manse on the Avenue Foch where Louis Vuitton was fêting its new high-end jewelry collection, Blason. Created by Pharrell Williams and the label's in-house jewelry designer, Camille Miceli, the line riffs on a variety of themes, from Masonic symbols to fleurs-de-lis. After winding through a labyrinth of mirrored display cases, partygoers like Sofia Coppola, Marianne Faithfull, Dita Von Teese, and Natalia Vodianova were entertained by a screening of the collection's launch video, featuring Pharrell's latest ditty.
