A few blocks away, Marchesa's Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman held court at the Gramercy Park Hotel's Rose Bar. With Sophie Dahl, Fabiola Beracasa, Helena Christensen, and Jacquetta Wheeler ensconced at the low tables, the British-born Chapman confided, "I hate parties. I never had them as a kid, because I always thought nobody would come. So now I figure if one person does, it's a success." Harvey Weinstein, who was chatting with hotelier Jason Pomerantz, confirmed that not only was the party a hit, but the collection was, too. "Well, of course I'm biased," he said. "But you know when something's bad, and this was very good."

Horse Play
The previous evening, Katy Rodriguez showed her Fall collection in the hotel's penthouse suite to Nora Zehetner, Rachel Zoe, Meredith Melling Burke, and Mark Seliger, among others. The affair was hosted by scribe Jessica Joffe, who was decked out in the designer's burgundy moiré dress, but Rodriguez herself wore a vintage Hermès equestrian suit from her boutique, Resurrection. "I saw it and I thought, 'Why not?' " she reasoned.
