Milan Extends a Warm Welcome to the Fashion Flock

The Missoni clan is proof that the family that sews together, stays together. On Sunday night, the—ahem—close-knit brood opened the doors of their groovy Milan flat for an intimate post-show dinner. On hand to welcome guests like Jefferson Hack, Irina Lazareanu, and Mariacarla Boscono were Missoni matriarch and patriarch Rosita and Tai, their daughter Angela, and their son Vittorio, as well as a smattering of grandchildren. Margherita Missoni made a special trip across the Atlantic for the occasion, although she seemed in no great rush to get back. "I've been in New York for four years now, and I feel that I have done it," said the socialite. "It's a place where you can be busy all the time without ever doing anything."

The following evening, Bulgari top brass, fashion editors, and, um, James Blunt fêted the brand's fall accessories collection in the candlelit lobby of the Bulgari Hotel. "We want to make products that are more innovative than others," said the jewelry company's CEO, Francesco Trapani, who also noted, "The accessories market has become too democratic." At $2,200 a pop, the python-skin evening bags should avoid that pitfall.
