The tone was set by the fire-breathers in the courtyard in front of the Maison France-Amérique. Giambattista Valli's fête there on Saturday celebrated both the new looks the designer has created for the special-edition Nokia 7373 cell phone and the successful auction held earlier that evening to raise funds for Sidaction, an AIDS charity close to the designer's heart (portraits by photographer Gilles-Marie Zimmermann reportedly generated more than 43,000 euros). It was also the wildest bash of fashion week. An eclectic mix of artists, stars, and royals— Charlotte Casiraghi, the Olsen twins, Daria Werbowy, Lily Donaldson, Julian Schnabel, Tatiana Santo Domingo, and designer Ito Morabito of Ora Ito—danced until 4 a.m., while outside, up to 200 people clamored for entry. The host himself showed up just before midnight with actress Jessica Biel on his arm. A first-timer at the Paris shows, Biel, who happened to be celebrating her twenty-fifth birthday, raved about her friend Valli's collection. "My number one favorite!" she called it.

The previous evening, Boombox took its traveling party to a club called Paris Paris for the renowned monthly night hosted by the French record label Kitsune. Along for the ride were many of the fashion personalities who have made the original in Hoxton such an enchanting addition to London nightlife legend: Christopher Kane and his sister Tammy, Giles Deacon, Jonathan Saunders, Hazel Robinson, Gareth Pugh, Katie Hillier, and Henry Holland and Agyness Deyn, who are practically the Andy and Edie of this scene. Eternally boyish though he may be, Jeremy Scott came across as the Don among the press of glittering tyros.
