"I can be fair when I judge the models," declared Donald Trump of his role at the Dressed to Kilt benefit fashion show at New York's Capitale on Monday night. "Except when it comes to my daughter, who'll get full marks, of course." While Trump, whose mother hails from Scotland, pondered his judging strategy, Ivanka and her fellow participants Eric Villency, Euan Rellie, and NBC's Stone Phillips fretted over their Scot-inspired garments backstage.

"Are you going commando under there?" Matthew Modine asked the New York Giants' Michael Strahan, who sported an Aztec-print kilt. "Hell no, I'm just wearing my briefs up high," responded Strahan, who said he's expecting plenty of gibes from his teammates for wearing a skirt. "It's for charity, so they'll just have to understand." Nearby, Tinsley Mortimer said, "I've taken precautions, but I hope there's no indoor wind for the boys who decided to go without." The ladies in the audience, however, appeared to be hoping for quite the opposite. Several climbed onstage to tuck dollar bills into the kilt of a bare-chested Marcus Schenkenberg.

Trovata's John Whitledge, for his part, turned the tables on the overeager front-rowers. Decked out in granny drag and wearing a kilt he whipped up using Bank of Scotland notes, the designer doled out cash to the judges. When he stopped to hand a note to Trump, he accepted, but quickly gave it to his neighbor. There was clearly no buying The Donald's vote.
