"This is the second time I've seen it, and it just gets better," said Sofia Coppola pal Anna Sui at the New York Film Festival premiere of Marie Antoinette on Friday night. Following a pair of simultaneous screenings at Lincoln Center, buses brought Coppola's band of supporters over to the after-party at the Museum of Modern Art, where props from the film—including some of the elaborate gowns designed by costumer Milena Canonero and worn by Kirsten Dunst—filled the museum's pink-lit first floor. The Oscar bait attracted plenty of admiring glances, but not quite as many as the dessert tables strewn with pink tinsel and piled high with cakes, pies, and cookies. "Oh, my God, we were high on sugar," confessed actress Rose Byrne about the film's party scenes. "And the champagne was real, so it was quite fun."

With songs from the film's soundtrack blaring in the background, Coppola made the rounds, greeting the likes of Jim Jarmusch and Molly Shannon, who has a bit role in the movie. Another supporting actor, Jamie Dornan, made eyes at Olivia Chantecaille, until he realized that celebrity shutterbug Patrick McMullan was intent on snapping their photo. Meanwhile, the queen bee herself, Kirsten Dunst, perched on a white couch with her (rumored) new gentleman in waiting, SNL's Andy Samberg. "It was so much fun to make," she said about the royal biopic. "But we did eat so much!"
