Barneys' Julie Gilhart hosted a Thursday night bash for friends and fans of Wool and the Gang to celebrate the knitting collective's stateside launch. Mary-Kate Olsen and boyfriend Nate Lowman joined Kirsten Dunst and Chiara Clemente at The Smile, a concept store-cum-restaurant on Bond Street by Carlos Quirarte and Matt Kliegman due to open next month. Wool and the Gang creative director Nadège Winter showed off her knit headband to Colette's Sarah Lerfel (Winter previously headed the French boutique's PR) and broke down the brand's consumer-friendly concept: "Basically, you can buy the wool and knit a style yourself, or you can buy a style pre-made," she said.

Melia Marden—who will be heading up the kitchen at The Smile when it opens—had whipped up macaroons for the occasion, and Champagne and St-Germain were on offer. At the bar, Erin Wasson, who had hosted her own bash the night before, nearly admitted defeat. "I'm exhausted," she said. "I think I'm making this an early night." On that front, Wasson was in the minority. After the in-store soirée, the party moved down the block to the Bowery Hotel, where the band Chief (bassist Michael Moonves is brother to Vogue's Sara Moonves) was due to play an acoustic set. Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld and Stavros Niarchos turned up just in time to catch the act, which started well after midnight. By then Ellen von Unwerth and Shalom Harlow were part of the crowd—and, well, things were just getting started.
