If it wasn't common knowledge that Roberto Cavalli is the go-to brand for late-night party gear, a complete fashion neophyte would have gathered as much at the label's brand-new seven-floor mega-store on the Faubourg Saint-Honoré Saturday night. It was the hottest club in Paris. The line was around the block, even if you were on the list (it seemed every publicist had the moody door-girl routine down pat, though we doubt they gave guests Diane Kruger or Milla Jovovich much trouble). Even Daniele Cavalli, Roberto and Eva's son, looked the part of a clubgoer, going for seventies disco king in his bell-bottoms, tight turtleneck, handlebar mustache, and aviators. In the middle of it all was the queen of the night, Eva Cavalli. "It took us three years to do this," she said, beaming. "And the seventh floor will be our apartment—but we haven't finished that yet."

The party shifted between the four main floors, the top of which houses a gallery of archive dresses, home wares, and an entire room of canine accessories (faux-fur gilets for Fido). Making his grand entrance was Kanye West, who admitted he knew his way around a good club. "Don't worry, I'm here," the rapper said. "It wouldn't be fashion week without me."
