When in Rome
Hollywood Jets in for Gucci Celebration
The 300-person dinner that followed Gucci's Tuesday Resort show in Rome had a touch of déjà vu for Frida Giannini. "My wedding was in this exact same space three years ago," she said of the lush garden at the Villa Aurelia. Giannini, who grew up in the neighborhood, guaranteed her grandmother a front-row/first-pew spot at both occasions. Apart from Giannini's nonna, the shindig was heavy on the film crowd. Joining a slew of Italian actors and actresses were Hollywooders on holiday: Patricia Arquette, Rosetta Getty, and Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy. "Rome seems like the perfect place for a fashion show," declared Dancy. Not that pretty dresses were the only draw. "I don't necessarily get the fashion game," Arquette admitted during a set by indie rockers Goldfrapp, which featured the lead singer's plucking skills. "I came for the harp."
