The Roitfeld Clan Fêtes Richard Hambleton
What 9 a.m. show? Judging by the scene last night at Indochine, where Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld and Andy Valmorbida were hosting an after-party for their Giorgio Armani-sponsored Richard Hambleton opening (yes, another one), you would've guessed that everyone was going to be sleeping in and enjoying a lazy Saturday. Nothing could be further from the truth. The crowd that filtered over after the exhibition had shows to style, photograph, review, and model in this weekend, starting with Ruffian at Lincoln Center this morning. We did see Margherita Missoni taking calls outside—maybe she was trying to resolve the fact that her Bryant Park Target pop-up shop was already sold out of Missoni merchandise? But inside, it was all play and no work. Giovanna Battaglia was dancing on a chair barefoot, showing off her S&M ensemble. "It's vintage Versace," she told Style.com. "I want to add—I wore this before Gaga!"
Theodora Richards, Lauren Hutton, and Lindsay Lohan rubbed shoulders in the cramped space. "I saw Mario Sorrenti at the front, and he walked in and said he couldn't handle it, so he left," Natalie Joos said. Olivier Zahm, on the other hand, was in the thick of things and loving it. "So many beautiful people here tonight," he said, as someone passed a Champagne bottle over his head and a copy of Garage (the crotch-shot cover, of course) floated by.
