The top-secret location of the Pop relaunch party? Larry Gagosian and Shala Monroque's Upper East Side town house, where Warhols, Hirsts, and, yes, even Picassos line the walls. Naturally, the crowd was heavy on art-world stars: Richard Prince, John Currin, Rachel Feinstein Currin, and Jeff Koons all showed up to toast the magazine's new editor, Dasha Zhukova. But that doesn't mean that the fashion crowd wasn't well-represented, too: Tory Burch, the Proenza Schouler boys, Sasha Pivovarova, and Daphne Guinness also came by. After a buffet dinner catered by Indochine, Nate Lowman took to the decks on the dance floor, which was constructed with clear glass above the pool in the basement.

In the middle of it all was fashion week's new mascot, the 13-year-old blog sensation and Pop cover girl Tavi, wearing a custom-made Rodarte dress. How she manages to captivate so many people and seems to know so much about contemporary culture was the source of much intrigue. "Do you think she's a real-life Benjamin Button, and she's really like, 60 years old?" someone asked. Lazaro Hernandez and Barbara Bush both stopped their merrymaking to actually ponder it for a second. Gwen Stefani, who arrived with husband Gavin Rossdale, had her own take on the wacky, wonderful style universe. Having spent the previous day showing her L.A.M.B. collection, and all of Friday promoting a fragrance, she said, "I think that whole world is so amusing. Whenever I'm around it, I feel like I'm in a Saturday Night Live episode."
