Up Past Bedtime
Tavi, the Fanning Sisters, and More at Rodarte's After-Party
11:15 and the Fanning sisters—clad in Rodarte for Opening Ceremony, mind—were trundling into a cab and away from Kate and Laura Mulleavy's Rodarte after-party. It was a school night, after all; Dakota is a newly minted NYU freshman, and Elle not yet even that. Never mind! The party raged on, with a slight up-past-bedtime vibe. "Mom and Dad are here!" a host greeted a lanky young photographer when he shambled through the door of Fig.19 on the Lower East Side. She just meant his bosses, Inez and Vinoodh, but one mom, photographer and Rodarte collaborator Catherine Opie, was doing a conga line with her 7-year-old son, Oliver.
Nearby, Sally Singer and David Byrne kibitzed with Ikram Goldman, Kim Gordon and James Ransone held court at the bar, and Shala Monroque danced with Jenke, Beyoncé's creative director (and presumably the guy who steered her to her front-row seat at yesterday afternoon's show). We called it a night shortly after 1, with festivities nowhere near remission. School night or no, Tavi Gevinson was keeping company with Kate Mulleavy to the end.
