It was back to the Boom Boom Room at the top of the Standard last night for a party to celebrate V magazine's September issue, which paid tribute to legendary Liz Taylor with a 72-page feature, lensed by Mario Testino and styled by Carine Roitfeld. Guests turned out for the black and white ball channeling both the superstar's iconic style (Giovanna Battaglia, wearing a black and white Dolce & Gabbana sequined star dress, in particular stood out) and her party girl persona. It's nearing the end of New York fashion week, after all, and designers like Olivier Theyskens and Joseph Altuzarra were ready to unwind. "It's my first night out in three days," Alexander Wang told Style.com. "That's a lot."

While Rachel Zoe and Prabal Gurung talked shop near the bar (which was decked out with a Taylor-shaped ice sculpture and platters of Magnum ice cream bars), Roitfeld, Testino, and Stephen Gan bopped to a pair of surprise acts: Sky Ferreira, followed by the leading ladies of Broadway's Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. When the crowd began to thin out after midnight, Brad Goreski asked, "Is the party over?" After scanning the room, he surmised, "You never know, this night could turn on a dime."

Seconds later, the lights went on as police and firemen came running to tend to a bleeding guest. Lindsay Lohan bolted for the door and Courtney Love said, "I better get out of here before someone tries to blame me for this."
