It Wouldn't Be Fashion Week Without a Calvin Klein Party
At a celebratory dinner held at the Standard Grill after Calvin Klein's Spring fashion show on Thursday night, Elettra Wiedemann looked down at her swordfish entrée and made a startling realization: "This is the first time that I've sat down at a table and had an actual meal since Monday morning," she smiled, before tucking in and polishing off the whole thing. Across the room was the night's host, Francisco Costa, seated between two Klein faves, Kerry Washington and Thandie Newton. Costa also admitted he hadn't eaten for a few days—and would be fasting for at least one more. "Before the show, I was too nervous to eat, and now I'm too excited," he smiled. Newton, who was enjoying dessert, coyly responded, "Oh, I don't have that problem."
When dinner finished, the party moved to the Standard Hotel's Beer Garden, which had been Klein-itized by removing the Ping-Pong tables and replacing them with long, minimalist white faux-suede couches. Jared Leto worked the room with Astrid Muñoz, Craig McDean took a perch with Rosetta Getty, and, in perhaps the most interesting pairing, John Stamos sidled up to the bar with Dree Hemingway. "It's bittersweet that it's all over," Hemingway sighed later. "Kind of feels like high school graduation." But lest we forget, we still have three more cities of this stuff: London, Milan, and Paris. Stay tuned.
