Dazed & Confused and Club Monaco Celebrate Their Partnership With a Paris Rager
Jefferson Hack is one of the fashion world's most prolific party hosts. Last night, at a dinner at Paris' Derrière, given with Club Monaco, he had a particularly good reason to celebrate: This year marks Dazed & Confused's 20th anniversary. Actress Élodie Bouchez—one of the handful who star in Club Monaco's new campaign, which was excerpted in Dazed's pages—co-hosted the soirée, and the likes of Poppy and Cara Delevingne, Jamie Bochert, and Leigh Lezark turned up to toast the magazine. A stage was set up at the front of the bar, and a few guests were wondering if Marianne Faithfull, who was sitting at Hack's table, might step up to the mike. "No, no," she demurred, in her iconic gravelly voice. "I'm performing tomorrow in Amsterdam. This isn't my night."
Instead, the night belonged to slinky Cécile Cassel, sister of actor Vincent and instant girl crush for all the ladies in the room. Cassel performed a rocking three-song set, and then André Saraiva took the decks and the real partying got under way as a crush of folks showed up for the after do. If the quality of a party can be measured by its wreckage, this one was a doozy: In the wee hours, Derrière was a disaster zone of trays of half-eaten cream puffs, pillaged Club Monaco gift bags, and the empty bottles of Champagne that, at some point, guests just started pouring for themselves. Dazed and confused, indeed.
