"I want to see the Yohji exhibit at the V&A," Thakoon Panichgul told Style.com last night in the midst of a whirlwind London trip. "Then I definitely want to do some home shopping, especially at Liberty's. I bought some dessert plates when I was there last time and didn't get enough…so I'm on a mission!" In town for an intimate trunk show, presenting Fall 2011 at the Net-a-Porter offices to a loyal customer base, the designer said: "I've wanted to do this for a long time because Net-a-Porter has been so supportive. It's a good way to meet some of my long-standing English customers, and then, of course, what a great excuse to have a party!"

The fête, held at Soho House Basement deep in the heart of Chinatown, brought in a crowd that included Detmar Blow, Dan Macmillan, Princess Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis, and models of the moment Cara Delevingne and Edie Campbell, with Misty Rabbit at the decks. Then there were the hosts, Poppy Delevingne and Mary Charteris (the latter of whom has fashion in her DNA—her auntie is Daphne Guinness). "Poppy just effortlessly wears the clothes and puts her own laid-back, nonchalant spin on them," said Panichgul. As for Charteris, with her dip-dyed pink hair (interesting manes clearly run in the family), he added, "Well, there's definitely something about Mary. She's another one who wears the clothes with attitude. I love to see both their interpretations of the designs—keeps the ideas coming for me!"

On the subject of muses, after dressing MObama, SJP, and Oprah, could there be anyone left on his wish list to dress? While in London, Kate Middleton perhaps? Ever the gentleman—and diplomat—Panichgul turned coy: "Hmmm. Let me have a think. I may have to come back to you on that one. "
