Just when we thought splashy launch parties had gone the way of Lehman Brothers, along came last weekend's "Evening of Glamour and Games." Introducing a new pastime called Hollywood Domino, the event involved two continents, dozens of celebs, and a pair of important charities. The hoopla may just have something to do with the fact that the game was created by Charlize Theron's cousin, Inge, along with her business partner, Daya Fernandez. They had noticed that their movie star friends and relations were getting together for game nights in the privacy of their homes, far away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi. Until now, that is. With an RSVP list for Sunday's Big Apple event that included Salma Hayek, Kim Raver, and Lindsay Price, and a crew of A-listers like a newly single Sienna Miller, Josh Hartnett, and Eva Herzigova assembled across the pond on Friday, photographer-free moments were out of the question at this double celebration.

Many of the guests took to the tables in pursuit of the grand prizes: 18-karat gold and white diamond bracelets, compliments of Steinmetz Diamonds. In New York, Hayek and House's Jennifer Morrison shared top honors. But not everyone was there for fun and games: The funds raised from the events will go to the Art of Elysium in New York and Charlize Theron's Africa Outreach Project in London, respectively. Ali Larter said she flew in from L.A. specifically because of the Art of Elysium. "It's a great charity," she said. "If I have to embarrass myself at a domino tournament on a Sunday night, so be it."
