Chloë Sevigny and Kate Bosworth Host Chloé's L.A. Opening Bash
Chloé opened up shop on Melrose Place last month, but the 2,500-square-foot space just wasn't big enough for the blowout party the French label planned to celebrate the occasion. Last night, designer Hannah MacGibbon and Hollywood starlets like Leighton Meester, Camilla Belle, January Jones, and Zoe Saldana came together at L.A.'s cavernous Milk Studios to toast the new boutique. "It's just so effortless," said Kate Bosworth of her Chloé look, an embellished nude tank from pre-fall and a long lemon chiffon pleat skirt from the Fall runway. "I like that you can go from collection to collection to collection and mix so many of the different pieces together." Her co-host, Chloë Sevigny, was equally effusive, dating her love affair with the brand back to her teen years in Connecticut. In up-to-there shorts and a scalloped white blazer, the Big Love actress noted, "I always associate Chloé with romance, femininity, and beauty. There is just something so classic and timeless about all of Hannah's pieces." Don't forget "cool." The 750 or so guests went wild when DJ Perry Farrell took the stage for a surprise midnight performance of two decade-spanning hits: "Go All the Way" from Twilight and "Jane Says."
