A flurry of stars came out to celebrate Salvatore Ferragamo, the eighth recipient of the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award, in Beverly Hills on Sunday night. "I think he would have never believed it," said Massimo Ferragamo, who accepted the Walk of Style Award on behalf of his late father. "He opened his first store on Hollywood Boulevard in 1923, and I don't think he would have ever imagined that one day Rodeo Drive would be closed for him." The award was given in conjunction with a photo exhibition celebrating Ferragamo's relationship with Hollywood. The famed street was the site of the outdoor soirée, which included a fashion show highlighting the 2007 Spring collection and a performance by Kanye West.

"He was an incredible inventor and was able to work with all different fabrics, from leather to cork," said Debi Mazar, who donned a black pleated Ferragamo dress and is a neighbor of the Ferragamo family in Florence. "I feel like a rock-star princess, and I have pockets!" exclaimed Ginnifer Goodwin, of her beaded satin number. "It wasn't the easiest thing to get over the head, but we have to suffer for fashion." More than 500 revelers, including Molly Sims, Kristin Davis, Shiva Rose McDermott, and Jesse Metcalfe, sipped cocktails on comfy lounge chairs as Eva Mendes presented the award to the fashion clan, which included three sons and a grandson. Equally appreciative was the evening's entertainment, the hip-hopping, globe-trotting West: "I'm here because I have to make back some of the money that I spend on this street," he said, before launching into a 30-minute set.
