All Eyes on Rosie at Burberry Body's L.A. Launch
At the Burberry boutique in Beverly Hills last night, it felt like anybody and everybody had turned out to celebrate the launch of Body, the label's new fragrance. Standing out among the throng was the face of the new scent, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, clad in a form-fitting satin frock the same champagne hue as the bottles of fragrance artfully suspended from the ceiling. Burberry's chief creative officer, Christopher Bailey, was right by her side. "Rosie was the obvious choice to represent Burberry Body," he said. "She's the most beautiful woman I've ever known!"
Beautiful women were the order of the evening: Among those who turned up to toast the launch were Huntington-Whiteley's Victoria's Secret co-hort Lily Aldridge and Erin Heatherton, along with Kate Bosworth, Rachel Zoe, Alice Eve, Serena Williams, Jayma Mays, and Solange Knowles, the party's DJ, who kept the crowd grooving with old-school Motown.
Midway through the event, a reveler threaded his way through the boutique carrying a bright red pair of boxing gloves. Asked why he had brought boxing gloves to the party, the man, yet another Brit, explained, "These were worn by Amir Khan, the boxer. He's the first Englishman to become the World Boxing champ, which is an incredible achievement. These gloves are a gift for Rosie." From one knockout to another.
