Barneys toasted Chloé's sixtieth anniversary last night with cocktails at the store followed by a dinner around the corner at Amaranth. The brand has reissued sixteen iconic styles from its archives, and Barneys has them exclusively until they hit global Chloé boutiques a week from today. Chloë Sevigny, who hosted, chose a remake of a Karl Lagerfeld creation circa 1983, and Pat Cleveland wore an updated version of her original runway look. "If you look at the videos they're playing on the walls, I'm actually wearing this dress in one of the shows," she reported. "I walked Chloé before there was the Internet, when you actually had to go to the shows. It was a different speed and energy, it was for entertainment." Chloé's current designer, Clare Waight Keller, knows a thing or two about speed. She landed in town just a couple of hours before the party, due to a freak snowstorm in Paris, and she's jetting off to Miami for a two-day break with her husband today. Barneys has given every one of its Madison Avenue windows to celebrate the Chloé Edition Anniversaire. "Clare and I worked together before I was at Barneys, so I've known of her talent and style," Mark Lee told Style.com. "Chloé is a different point of view and a strong one—in a very short amount of time, Clare has captured it in a modern way."
