"You always get nerves before going onstage," said Jamie Burke, lead singer of Bloody Social, before his group's performance at the Calvin Klein Jeans and VMan party at The Box on Monday night. "But you just need to get up there and go for it." The crowd, which included Hedi Slimane, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, and the MisShapes crew, eagerly awaited the Calvin Klein model's star turn. "I think Jamie's really good-looking," said Visionaire's Cecilia Dean, echoing a sentiment presumably shared by Sienna Miller, Kate Moss, and others in Burke's list of celebrity admirers. "I haven't met him or heard his music," Dean added. "But I can't wait."

That was the cue for the arrival onstage of Bloody Social, whose name, says Burke, is a "reference to social degeneration, but not ours personally." Three songs later, the curtain abruptly closed after the venue's management received noise complaints from the neighbors. Burke, however, would not be silenced and played on until the curtains were drawn once again. "I would have liked to hear more of their stuff," said Damian Loeb, who came out with his 17-year-old daughter, Cameron. "But they did manage to get in an extra song after being shut down, which was quite rock 'n' roll."
