Beyoncé doesn't sing in Obsessed, but she definitely does some belting. In one of the wickedest on-screen catfights in recent memory, she and Ali Larter (who plays a psychotic home wrecker) kick, punch, and swing two-by-fours at each other. At one point, Queen B. even stuns her rival with a vicious head butt. Regardless of whether the film is "a great date movie," as fellow cast mate Jerry O'Connell tried to argue, the glitzy crowd at last night's Cinema Society screening certainly lapped it up.

"It was painful; we had our bruises," Beyoncé said of filming the combat scene. Even Larter, who's done her share of butt-kicking on Heroes, was put to the test. "We spent over a week choreographing it and then shooting it, because it can be dangerous," she said. "You know, you can't take out the world's biggest icon." The pop star looked darn near invincible in the black Balmain number she wore on the carpet and to the MCM-sponsored after-party at the Bowery Hotel, and was kind enough to reveal how she had ended up in it. "I'm always on Style.com," she said. "I pull the pictures and put them in my iMovie and show them to my stylist." Glad to be a weapon in the superstar's arsenal.
