Proenza Schouler's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez have had a busy summer: Not only did they stage a Resort extravaganza—complete with a performance by Kembra Pfahler of the Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black and a video installation featuring Kalup Linzy—during Pitti Uomo in Florence, but they were simultaneously editing A Magazine. The Belgian glossy asks a different designer to "curate" an issue each season, and while past participants have included Martin Margiela, Haider Ackermann, and Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci, Proenza Schouler is the first American house to be given the honor. So it came that on Monday night the duo had a lot to celebrate. "We wanted to do a party for A Magazine, but also to see all the friends that didn't make it to Florence," Hernandez explained. "And let's be honest: We also just wanted to do a fun summer party."

Mission accomplished, as guests like Chloë Sevigny (who also supported the boys in Italy), Maria Cornejo, and Harley Viera-Newton enjoyed a low-key, unusually balmy New York night in the courtyard of Soho Mews. Unsurprisingly, summer plans were a big topic of conversation. Artist Nate Lowman, who deejayed the party with Leo Fitzpatrick, was getting ready for a few weeks in Greece. The only people not planning too much of anything were McCollough and Hernandez themselves. After the last few weeks—which included trips to their new farm in the Berkshires and a long weekend on a boat in Capri following Pitti—they admitted that they need to work on their Spring collection. Not that they're worried: "We've done so much already this summer that now, when all we have to do is a single collection in September, it seems so easy," McCollough smiled.
