No mobs of screaming fans, no fuss. It wasn't the type of reception one might expect for the latest Twilight installment, Twilight: Breaking Dawn—Part 1, which made its New York debut last night at the Landmark Sunshine Theatre on Houston Street (DKNY sponsored). The lack of fanfare was partly because the Cinema Society's Andrew Saffir had made sure to keep the location and details of his event under wraps until the last minute, and also because the whole cast (and the army of fans that comes with them) had turned out in full force in Los Angeles the day before.

Here in New York, it was cast members Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, and Nikki Reed carrying the show. "I practiced for a month for my scene where I stitch up Bella," Facinelli told Style.com. "I would slice chicken breasts open and then stitch them up. My maid probably thought I was some sick weirdo who likes to stitch chickens."

Greene and Reed both had their fair share of troubles shooting the vampire flick, too. "It's a little difficult when it's 4 a.m. and you've been shooting since 7 a.m., it's freezing, your lips are turning purple, and you're trying to convey exuberance," said Greene. "That, and learning to do a back flip in heels was pretty hard." Reed, on the other hand, found her off-camera time to be the most challenging. "It was miserable because at one point, they took away our computers because they found out someone had hacked through our Internet (I think it was like a 16-year-old girl), and that's when the Yahtzee came in." The audience got a taste of what she was talking about when they were asked to surrender all recording devices and cell phones as they walked in the door.
