NY socials watch Brosnan and Neeson duke it out in Seraphim Falls

Andrew Saffir's loyal Cinema Society crew braved the cold on Monday night for an advance screening of Seraphim Falls, a Civil War-era Western starring Pierce Brosnan and Liam Neeson. The Irish stars got plenty of appreciative oohs-and-ahhs from ladies Kim Cattrall, Julianna Margulies, and Carol Alt, while the first-time feature director David Von Ancken only had eyes for Lauren Bacall. "She looks amazing! She's such an icon," he gushed at the after-party in the Soho Grand's penthouse.
The movie, whose plot hinges on bloody revenge at all costs, hardly inspires warm and fuzzy sentiments, but both leading men had Valentine¿s Day advice for would-be lovers. "Be sincere," counseled Brosnan. Neeson¿s suggestion was even more direct. "Don¿t forget the date," he said, with a rueful shake of his head. "I did, and I still have the scars." Take it from a Civil War (movie) veteran: Love is a battlefield.
