Hollywood's Youth Set Turns Out in Force for The BAFTAs

Chalk it up to the ongoing (if reportedly about to be resolved) Writers Guild strike: The red carpet at this year's Orange British Academy Film Awards in London was a lot more happening than usual. Young Hollywood showed up, and in dresses fit for the Oscars. Dior was the big winner, with Tilda Swinton, Kate Hudson, Jessica Biel, Sienna Miller, and Eva Green all in looks by John Galliano, the latter two actresses having chosen remarkably similar black glamour gowns. Lust, Caution ingenue Wei Tang went with a black-on-white floral number straight off red-carpet newcomer Jason Wu's Fall runway. And Emily Blunt opted for a one-shoulder Marc Bouwer sparkler. Julie Christie donned a glittering pantsuit not unlike her SAG Awards getup, while Marion Cotillard walked away with both the Best Actress prize and the award for most adverturous ensemble of the evening: a spangled, leg-baring Chanel minidress with a built-in cape resembling angel's wings.
