Two L.A. Parties Draw Stars of Every Persuasion
PHOTOS
What do soft-spoken artist Takashi Murakami and Mike "Tattoo Face" Tyson have in common? They're both fans of A Bathing Ape, the Japanese clothing line that specializes in ultra-expensive T-shirts, hoodies, and sneakers. And along with a slew of other celebs, they were both on hand at the opening of the label's new store in West Hollywood on Wednesday night. Pharrell Williams showed off a diamond-encrusted A Bathing Ape Casio watch customized by Jacob the Jeweler. "It's one of a kind," Williams said, refusing to reveal the price tag on the blinged-out ticker. Meanwhile, over at the Roosevelt, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden played kissy-face throughout a party for fashion designer Charlotte Ronson. "I like to do things differently in L.A.throw a nice dinner every season, you know?" said Ronson, who was planning a trip to Coachella to see her brother, Mark, perform this weekend. "I need a Coachella buddy." Any takers?
