Amurri and Bell Celebrate Contemporary Art, Joy of Spring at Ferragamo

Spring was in the air at Wednesday night's opening of Renaissance, an art exhibit at the Fifth Avenue Ferragamo boutique. But there was nary a Florentine fresco in sight. Instead, curator Blair Voltz Clarke had assembled contemporary works celebrating the season of rebirth. Meanwhile, guests celebrated a little sartorial liberation. Co-host Eva Amurri swanned in wearing a loose, full-length Ferragamo dress—a relaxing change of pace, she said, to the gown she'd been "poured into" at the Met. The actress happily declared it dress season: "It's my staple. I always feel cutest in a dress." She wasn't the only one pleased to bid adieu to late-winter blues and heavy coats. Lake Bell, who was weighing options for a May getaway to the Mediterranean, described the joy of spring as only a native New Yorker could. "People are finally happy," she said. "And it's not hot enough for people to be disgruntled and complain about the weather." Just give it a few weeks, Lake.
