On Wednesday night, Helena Christensen, Margherita Missoni, Ryan McGinness, and others assembled at Chloé's newly refurbished Madison Avenue boutique to preview artworks to be auctioned at the Guggenheim's Artist's Ball next month. The center of attention was a Chloé dress customized by McGinness with hundreds of slogan buttons. Earlier in the day, many of the same faces joined Tinsley Mortimer at the St. Regis Hotel for a lunch promoting her handbag collaboration with the Japanese brand Samantha Thavasa. Guests like Claire Bernard, Alexandra Lind Rose, and Fabiola Beracasa (the line includes a rectangular clutch named the Fabiola) walked out with not one, but two totes of their choosing. "I've been to luncheons where they only give you one bag, and it's so hard to decide," Mortimer explained. "So I said, I'm giving everybody two."
