The Designer's Swank London Dinner Party

When it comes to playing host, the Kaiser doesn't skimp on the bubbly—or anything else, for that matter. The private dinner he gave at London's Nobu restaurant in honor of his Paris-Londres Métiers d'Art pre-fall show was a feast for all the senses. The air was redolent with the scent of Les Exclusifs de Chanel, the sushi dishes were decadent, and, mais bien sur, the eye candy was top-notch. International beauties including Thandie Newton, Claudia Schiffer, Natalia Vodianova, Anouck Lepère, and Emma Watson flitted about in their Chanel finest. Ironically, though, the show itself was inspired by the male influences in Coco Chanel's life—most notably, the English aristocrat Arthur "Boy" Capel and the Duke of Westminster, who, legend has it, engraved the double-C logo on London streetlamps to declare his love for the designer.
