The New York Botanical Garden's annual Winter Wonderland ball, hosted by Escada, brought out a parade of long white gowns, not to mention a quipster or two: More than one social noted that the gala had gone "very bridal show" as guests like Molly Sims, Eugenia Silva, Linda Fargo, and Alex Kramer walked by. Designer Chris Benz, meanwhile, was less interested in the frocks than in the Bronx garden itself. "This is positively gorgeous," he said. "It's made me want to come back during the day. Tomorrow." As the night wound down, revelers like Lydia Fenet, Annie Churchill, Annabel Tollman, Alexis Bryan, and Maggie Katz headed downtown for drinks—as far downtown as the Carlyle hotel, that is.
