Gwyneth, Brooke, and Co. Toast Kors in Soho

"Fashion is the accessory to the accessory," decreed Michael Kors at his new Prince Street shop, devoted to handbags, shoes, and other totems. The boutique occupies prime real estate next to the Apple Store in what was once the beloved canteen Jerry's. "I felt like Tom Hanks putting Meg Ryan's bookstore out of business," said Kors about the call he got when the space became available. "The cool thing, though," he said, "is we get 14-year-olds and dowager empresses, and you can't pigeonhole who's going to buy the $13,000 collection bag and who's going to take the $350 Michael tote." Shop talk over, Kors headed to Raoul's for a cozy dinner with Brooke Shields, Jane Krakowski, Natalia Vodianova, and Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer. Gwyneth Paltrow arrived at 10 p.m. from the set of her new movie Two Lovers, promptly took her seat, andin keeping with the evening's low-key feelhuddled quietly with the designer. "Call it the anti-Dolce," said one guest as she headed out.
