Colin Farrell Declares Himself Woody Allen's No. 1 Fan
Who would have guessed it? Woody Allen and Colin Farrell have chemistry. Allen elicited a star performance from Farrell in his new thriller, Cassandra's Dream. And at last night's Tribeca Grand screening, hosted by the Cinema Society and DKNY Jeans, the famously nebbishy director and the earthy Irish actor joked around like old chums. "Directing Colin was a piece of cake," said Allen. "He's full of feeling. You just turn him loose and he does it. He does it better than how I could imagine it when I'm writing it." Farrell was quick to repay the compliment. "Woody is a very charismatic man. He's truly gorgeous," he said. Did he mean that in a physical sense? Farrell demurred: "Um, I think I'd prefer something a little bustier myself."
