Bottega Veneta Throws a Party for Albert Maysles
PHOTOS
As any Edie Beale fan could tell you, Albert and David Maysles' groundbreaking documentary, Grey Gardens, is about to get the Hollywood treatment, in the form of an adaptation starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange. On Friday night, Albert Maysles himself was on the receiving end of some A-list attention, when Bottega Veneta hosted a dinner in honor his new publication, A Maysles Scrapbook. Noshing on herb-crusted halibut and spinach-stuffed chicken at Beverly Hills' Barney Greengrass were Dustin Hoffman, Diane Keaton, 10,000 B.C. director Roland Emmerich, and BV creative director Tomas Maier. "Tomas is the man," said Liz Goldwyn, who has starred in the luxury line's print campaigns and was wearing a Bottega dress tailored particularly for her. Linda Evangelista, meanwhile, was already in pre-fall. Gesturing to her dress, her shoes, and her understated jewelry, she said, "I'm on to the next season already."
