What is a podcast?

A podcast is an audio or video file that is downloaded via an automatic feed from Style.com.  Once the podcast has downloaded, you can view it (or listen to it) on your computer, or you can transfer the file to a portable media player such as an iPod.

What do I need to view or hear a podcast?

The first thing you need is podcast subscription software. Your options include the latest version of Apple's iTunes , Yahoo Podcast, or other services such as iPodder.

How do I subscribe to a podcast on Style.com?

Once you have installed podcast subscription software on your computer, you can just click on the one of the Subscribe buttons offered on the Style.com podcast page (either iTunes, Yahoo Podcast, or general XML button).

To subscribe to the podcasts using iTunes, simply click the iTunes button.  This will automatically bring up iTunes, and you will see the Style podcasts listed in the podcast section.

To subscribe using Yahoo, click on the Yahoo button.  This will bring up a window asking if you would like to subscribe to the Style podcasts.  Then click the Add button to subscribe.  To view the Style podcasts, go to your My Yahoo! page.

To subscribe using any other podcast software (such as iPodder), click on the POD button.  Copy the XML link of the window that appears, and paste that link into whatever podcast software you wish to use.

What should I expect after I subscribe?

When you subscribe to a podcast, all new “shows” will be automatically downloaded to your computer as they are published. And if you have an MP3 player, the next time you sync your device, your podcasts will be downloaded for viewing on the go.

How do I unsubscribe?

If you wish to unsubscribe from a podcast, delete the entire feed entry from your podcast subscription software.

I subscribed to a podcast. Why don't I see anything?

First, be sure that you have video player software.  Then verify that the correct video file was downloaded to your computer. You may need to modify the update settings in your podcast software to ensure that this process occurs automatically.
