What makes a glamour girl? Photographer Patrick McMullan should have an idea or two. After all, he has snapped several thousand prime examples of the species in his three decades on the New York party circuit. But for his new coffee-table book—over 300 pages full to bursting with mile-wide smiles, megawatt star power, and major frocks—McMullan also enlisted everyone from Tom Ford to Candace Bushnell to Dominick Dunne to weigh in with a few words on the subject. Ford's view: "The glamour girl is the one you remember after the party's over." You can put that theory to the test at the fête for McMullan's latest publication this Thursday in NYC.
