Portero.com, the luxury online auction house that functions as a sort of eBay for the Amex Black Card set, has launched an accessories section. Among the initial items up for grabs are a 35cm chocolate brown crocodile Hermes Birkin bag with platinum hardware. Before you start typing Portero’s name into your browser, however, you should be aware that the current highest bid on this item—$41,999—doesn’t meet the seller’s reserve price. How high will the bidding have to go before some deserving consumer can claim their prize? The auction ends on Wednesday. Stay tuned.
