What do CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund nominee Phillip Lim and the White Stripes have in common? Apparently, a penchant for tartan. Lim showed several covetable plaid dresses on his Fall runway back in February, and now Meg and Jack White have produced a mini-collection of Scottish finery cut from the Official Tartan of the White Stripes in celebration of their ten-year music-making anniversary. The line includes traditional kilts, Balmoral hats, and kilt hose. We were too busy rocking out to look for the merch tables at last night’s Madison Square Garden show—where we spotted fan and rocker-in-her-own-right Irina Lazareanu joining the headbangers ball—but you can get the scoop at www.whitestripes.com.
