Designer Kai Kühne is launching his first ad campaign in this month’s Vogue Italia. The two-page spread features a model in a marabou-trimmed white dress, an example of what he calls "a couture take on American sportswear." And further distancing himself from his downtown roots ("I’m growing up," he says), he’s moving into a new studio in the garment district in a few weeks, where he’ll present his Spring 2008 collection in September.
