Arodjeter

While most fashion editors mingled downtown at Phillip Lim’s new Mercer Street store last night, a select few were way, way uptown, hanging with the Bronx Bombers. As if sitting in the Adidas/Y-3 luxury box wasn’t enough—think of it as Homer Simpson’s version of heaven, with all the hot dogs and beer you could consume—the group was also able to take turns watching from field-level seats as the Yankees beat the Toronto Blue Jays in an extra-inning game. Our favorite part of the evening? Sitting next to a heckling Blue Jays fan whose graphic T-shirt suggested an (ahem) deeper relationship between shortstop Derek Jeter and third baseman Alex Rodriguez. When the troublemaker yelled out to A-Rod, third-base coach Brian Butterfield turned around and told the peanut gallerist, “Just sit down.”
