Diorad

It’s mid-August, when the fashion-obsessed start thinking about the fall ad campaigns (and mail carriers think of calling in sick). The September issues are thicker than ever, but this time around we’ve done the groundwork for you. Here’s how the latest batch of pretty pictures breaks down:

The award for the fall ‘07 campaign queen goes to Jessica Stam: We spotted the Canadian in at least nine ads, including ones for DKNY, Christian Dior (above), Roberto Cavalli, and Miss Sixty. Giving Stammy a run for her money is Raquel Zimmermann, with six campaigns, among them the lucrative Fendi, Fendi fragrance, and Gucci fragrance contracts. Kate Moss, who was last autumn’s top model (she didn’t do too shabbily for herself in spring ‘07, either), is down to four campaigns this season.

As far as photographers go, the duo of Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin (Chloé, YSL, Stella McCartney) are neck and neck with Mario Testino (Burberry, D&G, Michael Kors) for most campaigns shot, with each landing at least ten. Also worth a mention is Karl Lagerfeld, who somehow found the time to not only design six lines—Chanel, Chanel Cruise, Chanel Accessories, K by Karl Lagerfeld, Karl Lagerfeld Gallery, and Fendi—but also shoot the campaigns for each of them.

Our picks for the top ten new faces from the Fall ‘07 shows also fared well. Among them, they landed campaigns for Gianfranco Ferré and Neiman Marcus (Ali Michael); Pringle, Dolce & Gabbana, and Jil Sander (Kasia Struss); Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana (Georgia Frost); and Marc Jacobs Fragrance, Prada, Pringle, and Jil Sander (Irina Kulikova).
