So often with dresses, the visual details are all in the front. We’re happy designers like Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz, who showed shifts with ruffles and frills down their backs on his Fall runway, have chosen to highlight the oft-neglected rear view. Witness this layered Prada creation Rosamund Pike donned for yesterday’s Venice premiere of Atonement. A dress that looks just as good going as it does coming is something we can really get behind.
