Marion Cotillard’s portrayal of Edith Paif captivated France when La Vie en Rose, as the film is known in the U.S., was released earlier this year. The actress nailed Piaf’s mannerisms, including her love of little black dresses, a preference that seems to have spilled over into her real life. Seen here at yesterday’s Tokyo press conference for the biopic, she’s managed to pay sartorial homage to a great star while still looking like herself.
