locked out of lim

It pays to be punctual. Editors who arrived early for the Phillip Lim show Sunday afternoon were rewarded with their seats, while those who sauntered up to the Celeste Bartos Forum at the New York Public Library more than ten minutes late were barred from entering. Apparently the FDNY deemed the smallish venue to be at capacity and on the verge of becoming a fire hazard. When told she could only have ten more guests inside, Lim’s publicist, Erin Phillips, had to pick people from the angry mob outside. Anne Christensen of The New York Times made the cut, but many others didn’t.
