As the London shows progress, we suspect that Erin O’Connor could well turn out to be the most ubiquitous model we see. “It’s a little strange to be this week’s ambassador, but also lots of fun,” said O’Connor, who is the vice chair of LFW, at the Gareth Pugh show on Sunday evening. “Besides, I’ve been treading the boards long enough and it’s time to make way for the new girls.” Her favorite of the current crop? “Agyness of course!” said O’Connor. “She has great attitude, is gorgeous and healthy.” The well-being of her runway successors has been on O’Connor’s mind, so she helped create a “model sanctuary” at the main Natural History Museum venue. “It’s somewhere for them to get fed and rest,” she explained. On the menu are “lots of lovely organic meals from Marks & Spencer.”
